If you’re achieving a positive ROI on the Facebook ad spend and Facebook Advertising management, the term ‘cost’ can kind of become irrelevant. Why? Because if you generate £5 for every £1 you spend on ads, the question then becomes how quickly can you scale your ad spend! Like many marketing services, the cost of Facebook ads management can vary tremendously depending on a number of factors:
Your existing results
I always say that one of the most important parts of running successful ad campaigns is testing. There truly is no such thing as a one size fits all strategy that works for all businesses. In fact, even clients who are in the same niche with similar offers, have nuanced strategies. We wouldn’t have discovered that unless we had taken the time to test. Testing of audiences, testing of messages, testing of funnels, testing of ads themselves. This all forms part of getting you amazing results with Facebook ads. However, if you have an established online business with >£10k ad spend per month and at least 5 x ROAS, the role of testing becomes slightly different. And for that reason, the amount you spend will be more likely into campaign scaling strategies rather than initial testing.
Your budget
One of the first questions I like to ask clients is how much are you willing to spend on ads. This is always a tricky one – ‘how much should I spend?’ is often the response I get. I’d say to start with what you can afford, but I do also have a formula that will allow us to decide how much you should spend on ads. Again this is reliant on previous experience and using benchmark metrics from your current or existing launches or campaigns. Essentially, we’ll look at what you want to hit (your end goal) and reverse engineer the steps we need to take in order to achieve that. Then we’ll look at what benchmarks we can use (from either my experience or your past data) to calculate how much you should spend to achieve the results you want. In most cases, it makes financial sense to outsource your ads management. However I also offer Facebook ads coaching and ads training for those clients who don’t quite have the budget for fully outsourced Facebook ad management.
Your goals
Let’s say you want to hit £500k in your launch, and you have a small team to support you. As a Facebook ads manager it’s also my responsibility to make sure that your entire funnel is optimised and the steps to reach your £500k goal are either tried and tested, or watertight from a strategy perspective. Establishing yourself as an authority in your niche and building an engaged audience are both crucial to ensuring that you have a good size retargeting audience, which in turn means less work for the ad manager, which in turn potentially reduces the cost of ads management services!
